Bek & Kev’s Yearly Reflection Worksheet

Personal Growth

December 28, 2023

Whether you have used our Yearly Reflection Worksheet in the past or you’re a Bek and Kev newcomer, we’re so excited to offer this updated worksheet! These end of year reflection questions will guide you through the process of reflecting on the past year and starting the new year strong.

2024 is almost here!

You’ve made it through 2023, but are you really done? Reflection is key to progress, so if achieving Uncommon Freedom is important to you, we’re here to help make this your year! The best way to start is to use our Yearly Reflection Worksheet to make the new year your best year ever.

If you haven’t had a chance to check out the Uncommon Freedom Podcast, the Launch Well Series is a fantastic place to start and has some great tips for goal setting. Check it out right here!

Have you taken the time to reflect on 2023?

Have you taken a moment to look back at 2023 and ask yourself what went well and what didn’t? End of year reflections are valuable because they give us a chance to take a look at our successes, challenges, and lessons from the previous year before setting our goals for the upcoming year. A good review enables us to look at our progress objectively. It helps us see common themes or underlying problems we observed in our progress last year.

Doing a yearly review can also help transform old goals into SMART goals. If you’ve never heard of SMART goals, SMART stands for: specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound. Setting this type of goal is proven to increase your chances of achieving the things that are most important to you.

Need a place to start developing these type of goals? Check out our SMART goals worksheet! Making your goals SMART will give you the boost you never knew you needed.

What is the Yearly Reflection Worksheet?

Our Yearly Reflection Worksheet is a resource we’ve been sharing with our audience for three years as a tool to finish each year strong by guiding detailed goal setting for the new year. At its core, it’s a list of end of year reflection questions that focus on goals we have for ourselves, our family, and our business. By looking back, we are able to plan even better for the future.

Ever since the first time we completed a worksheet like this one, we’ve developed an enormous appreciation for the benefits gained from reflecting together. We’re able to connect about what went well, what could’ve gone better, and where we want the next year to take us. Speaking from years of experience, we know this worksheet will be an invaluable tool to add to your arsenal as you prepare to launch well into this new year!

Why use these end of year reflection questions?

Spending dedicated time on these end of year reflection questions allows us to thoughtfully reflect on our actions and experiences from the past year. The flow of the questions is designed to shift smoothly from reflection on the past year to a set of probing questions for the upcoming year. These probing questions will set you up to start creating and refining your goals to make the coming year the best yet.

We can always learn from our past experiences, both positive and negative, and this worksheet provides a guided way to do just that. One message we share with our kids all the time, and that is just as important to remember as an adult, is that we are all going to make a lot of mistakes. The goal is to acknowledge that and not make the same mistakes over and over. If you can learn from others’ mistakes without making them yourself, even better!

End of Year Reflection is better together!

The best thing about this Yearly Reflection Worksheet is that it doesn’t have to be just for you. You don’t have to do it alone. This worksheet can be a great way to connect with your spouse or partner. More fun questions for your marriage here! You can also choose to involve your children which could be a great bonding opportunity during your next One-on-One Date with Kids. You can even share it with a friend who might benefit from some reflection as well.

Any way you choose to use our worksheet, we know that you’ll love it and we hope you’ll share your experience with us in the comments below.

Happy new year and here’s to making it the best year ever!
